Mr. Jahja Santoso, Pharmacist was appointed as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Bandung for West Java and Bali - Indonesia from 18th February 2008 (Diplomatic Note No. 54/1329-9583 and Consular Commision No. 201 Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Repulic of Latvia).

He had graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) as a pharmacist (apoteker) with a Master Degree of Pharmacy College. From 1975 until now he is the owner and the President Director of three companies :

• PT. Sanbe Farma : Manufacturing and Marketing of Human, Veterinary, and Aquaculture Pharmaceuticals
• PT. Bina San Prima : Nation Wide Distributor
• PT. Caprifarmindo Laboratories : Manufacturing and Marketing of Human, Vet, Aquaculture Pharmaceuticals, and Vet Vaccines

Drs. Santoso is also the owner and President Director of two hotels :

• Holiday Inn Hotel in Bandung
• Ibis Hotel in Simpang Lima, Semarang

Towards providing better healthcare to people of Indonesia, Drs. Santoso built a hospital :

• Santosa Bandung International Hospital

On 20th August 2006, Mr. Jahja Santoso, Pharmacist was given the Noble title of "Kanjeng Pangeran Haryo" or Prince for his generous contributions towards the community and been an exceptional fellow citizen by H.R.H. Pakoe Boewono XIII, Sultan of Surakarta Hadinigrat.

He is also a member of some prestigious organizations, and they are :

• Board of Advisory in Indonesian Pharmaceutical Association West Java Regional (GP Farmasi Indonesia)
